Pisco is made from grapes. Pisco is therefore a grape brandy. But it should not be likened to marc or grappa. While the latter are prepared with the remains of the bunches after extraction of the must, and therefore have a strong wooden aroma, pisco is the result of the distillation of the whole bunch.
